The book explores the current systemic conflict between the Chinese economic model and Western capitalism against the backdrop of the erosion of the Liberal International Economic Order. It aims to develop a solution that synthesizes Western and Chinese philosophy, specifically Hegel’s notion of civil society and Sittlichkeit, along with Confucian cosmopolitanism. The argument is supported by rich empirical analysis of the practices and realities of the Chinese model, following the Hegelian approach to philosophy as an empirical science that distills general principles from history. The book contributes to economics by detailing a concept of the market economy distinct from capitalism and offering a concrete proposal for reforming the international trade system. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/
